Cleanfix in Action
The Cleanfix fan is installed in a number of heavy-duty machinery. The Cleanfix in Action series on Youtube is an entertaining way to show the products function out in the field
One of the key features of the Cleanfix fan is the reversible function. During work in dusty environments, dirt clogs up the machine's radiators, impeding the air intake. With the push of a button, the fan blades flip around and blow out the dirt.
The approach to the "in Action" videos was a sort of end to beginning approach. This means I usually started out with a blowout shot of a machine equipped with a Cleanfix fan that was sent in by a customer. I would then search for video footage of the same machine at work in a similar environment on Youtube. Once I got the rights to the material, I would start editing.
The edits are music driven. I would choose energetic rock music that I could rearrange to have a beginning, middle and end within the 45 - 60 seconds format.

Production & Quality series
The Production & Quality series is a Youtube series showcasing the steps in manufacturing the Cleanfix fan.
Unlike with Cleanfix in action, with these projects I was involved entirely from start to finish. The title of the series points to the enquiry in every video. What are the steps in the production of a Cleanfix fan and how is the best qualitative practice ensured?
I would start with researching each machine and creating a storyboard. After filming and putting together a first rough cut, I had to find a way to visualize abstract ideas with simple animations in After Effects.
